How do we think about the intersections of organizing and wellness, and how do we try to sustain ourselves for our movements?
Headwaters invites you to a Zoom conversation on October 6 about what radical rest offers to each of us involved in movement work—and how resting might just be an act of resistance.
We're hosting a panel of guests, including:
- Nausheena Hussain from Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment;
- Signe Harriday from The Fields Retreat Center; and
- Veronica Mendez Moore from CTUL
Marie Michael, a somatic practitioner with Embodied Coaching & Consulting, will also be in the mix; and HFJ President Maria De La Cruz is serving both as moderator and a voice in the conversation. This virtual conversation takes inspiration from her series of Tributaries posts. Each post is an expression of her leadership: who and what inspires her; challenges that sometimes keep her up at night; and how the brilliance of our movements serves as fuel for her to show up for her work.
