Founded in 2007, the Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project (IARP) is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit. It brings Iraqis and Americans together to use art to grow reconciliation and friendship, and build a more peaceful world.

IARP will help create a more inclusive Minnesota by addressing the rising fear and misunderstanding people have about Muslims, refugees, and immigrants. Throughout the summer of 2019, IARP will tour its theater production BIRDS SING DIFFERENTLY HERE across Saint Cloud, Rochester, and Duluth. The bilingual production is based on stories from and performed by Iraqi-Minnesotan refugees and immigrants. Q&A sessions will follow each performance, further inspiring dialogue between audience members and IARP program participants.
