Justice & Liberation Individual Support Fund
Individual Support Fund grants are a partnership between Headwaters and Black Visions to directly resource Black people across Minnesota.
About the Individual Support Fund
Headwaters is pleased to partner with Black Visions to transparently and quickly resource Black individuals throughout the state of Minnesota and continue Black Visions' commitment to redistributing funds to Minnesota’s Black community. Funds will go to support community members who are experiencing various forms of economic hardship.
While Headwaters’ work focuses on funding organizations that build community power, we also know that directly resourcing individuals is a powerful way to support the wellbeing, resilience, and leadership of our communities. Moving money directly to Black Minnesotans is part of our commitment to building a future where our communities are resourced, cared for, and powerful.
Through this partnership, we will distribute $500,000 to Black Minnesotans via the Justice and Liberation Fund. Funds are considered emergency support grants and do not have to be paid back.
