Asian Minnesotan Alliance for Justice Twin Cities Metro
The Asian Minnesotan Alliance for Justice (AMAJ) was formed in May 2020 after the murder of George Floyd under police custody and the rise of anti-Asian racism due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic had been highlighting the disproportionately violent treatment of Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), the inherently unequal and inequitable nature of our society, and the overall racist nationalism growing in the US, just to name a few. Using the solidarity framework detailed in this document, AMAJ seeks to mend the social divides and fight the inequities that are both rooted in white supremacy and that are exacerbated by the pandemic.
