Bridging Ecosystems (BE) Fellowship

The Bridging Ecosystems (BE) Fellowship is a new HFJ program, launching in 2026. This capacity-building program is an opportunity for organizations to exhale. Leaders are carrying communities through uncertainty, organizing through exhaustion, and continuing to create change in the face of colliding crises. The BE Fellowship is designed as a space to pause, reconnect with your purpose, and strengthen your organization’s ability to thrive. Participants will build relationships that make their work more sustainable and join peers who understand, celebrate, and witness their leadership.
The BE Fellowship is an 8-month program that runs April through November 2026. We will bring together 16 participants – representing 8 organizations – in a cohort. The program will focus on individual fundraising & donor organizing; strategic communications & narrative work; and healing justice.
The BE Fellowship will be open to current Headwaters grantees from the following programs: Fund of the Sacred Circle; Giving Project; Justice and Liberation Fund, and the Wellspring Fund. Please note: Rapid Response Fund grantees may be eligible if space allows. Applications will open December 15.
