Mary inspires individuals and households to make meaningful gifts to HFJ. She is the lead strategist on developing appeals that motivate donors to fuel movement organizers across Minnesota, and manages an extremely conscientious and fun team in the process. Mary also creates event spaces—virtual ones for now—that engage our volunteers to be HFJ donor organizing ambassadors.
Mary identifies as a bi-racial Midwestern island-girl with her creole roots in the Seychelles Islands. Extra-curricular activities these days are limited under Covid and with a toddler in tow, but she is drawn to BIPOC-guided theater experiences, digesting novels with her book club, walking/skiing in her nearby park, and has recently discovered the delight of WhirlyBall. Mary is a mom to 2-year-old Rafael and lives with her partner Owen in North Minneapolis. She is always dreaming of her next international trip to visit family abroad.
Contact Mary if you have questions about giving gifts of $1,500 or more per year, donor advised funds, planned giving, or if you have ideas about donor engagement events.
