Emily Scott is Headwater’s Director of Finance and Operations. They view their department as serving as a safe and stable launching pad for the rest of the organization, while simultaneously pushing the radical edge of finance and operations. They are flexible thinker looking for emergent solutions to old problems, and bring a nimbleness and an open mind to the work of finance, accounting, operations, and HR.

Emily spent the first ten years of her adult life working overseas, before moving back to her home state of Minnesota. She started working in non-profit accounting in 2015, and has worked for organizations large and small in the Twin Cities and overseas. In their spare time, Emily plays with her two dogs, reads books, and flies airplanes.
