Headwaters Board Member, Mia Divecha

Originally from Berkeley, CA, Mia moved to Minnesota ten years ago and hasn't looked back. She was a giving project participant in 2020, a year that changed all of our lives. Mia was transformed through the giving project by finding deep meaningful community relationships and settling into her identity and power as a donor organizer. She seeks to find opportunities for justice everywhere, whether it's campaigning her local park board representative to take water quality seriously, working to rezone her city of St Louis Park away from single family housing on the planning commission, or fighting successfully to get free menstrual products at work. Mia holds a BS and PhD in Chemical Engineering, and spends her day job working at Cargill and her evenings with her two little girls and husband.
