Venessa (she/her/hers) started in philanthropy at the Bush Foundation and Jerome Foundation—both in grantmaking and communications. She’s an alum of the inaugural cohort of the Ron McKinley Philanthropy Fellowship. Venessa is an arts advocate and creative writer with deep roots in the Minneapolis literary community. She also has decades of experience in the Twin Cities nonprofit sector. Those who know Venessa well will tell you she loves the number five, radical imagination, and tarot. She lives on the southside of Minneapolis with her son and two dogs.
